Changing an iGUIDEs Exterior Wall Thickness

This section explains how to change the wall thickness and below-grade status on the iGUIDE Portal.

A perimeter wall thickness must be added to calculate "exterior area" for accurate floor area information within an iGUIDE. Please open the below section for step-by-step instructions for how to add, or modify your exterior wall thickness.

Step-by-step Instructions

1. Log in to the iGUIDE Portal (manage.youriguide.com)

2. In My iGUIDEs, find the iGUIDE that needs to be edited and click Edit.

3. Scroll down to the iGUIDE Preview.

4. Click on the pencil icon next to the floor name on the floor selector.

5. You will see a pop-up, where you can change the label text (name floors according to your preference) and you also have the option to add or change the Perimeter Wall Thickness.

NOTE: For RECA RMS, entering a Perimeter Wall Thickness of ‘0’ will eliminate the Exterior Area of the floor. This can not be used with the ANSI Standard.

1. Once the wall thickness value is modified, click the Ok button and Save your changes at the bottom of the page. See Figure 5.

Once you have saved your changes, the iGUIDE Floor Area Information will be automatically updated, but you may want to resend the iGUIDE Report if one was already sent prior to the changes.

If using inches, you may find that the entered value differs slightly (for example 8" may display as 7.992") this is expected and is not an error, it is simply due to the system converting to CM and then reconverting to Inches. This is a visual indicator only, the correct measurement is used in your calculations.
